In collaboration with the World Banya Association and Aufguss Trieste, Wellness Atlantis is hosting an international event for sauna enthusiasts on February 28 and March 1 2026 that you won't want to miss!
Banya Fest Europe – Warm Up Slovenia is the official preliminary event of Europe's largest banya festival, bringing top rituals and a new level of sauna experience to Slovenia. Banya masters from Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia will be presenting their skills at the event.
Competition
Individual banya experiences, where a master performs a 20-minute ritual massage of one individual's entire body using whisks made of natural materials, herbs and, of course, heat. You will learn about the ritual up close and discover why it is considered one of the most profound sauna experiences. The competition is also accompanied by an international expert jury that evaluates the masters' performances. It takes place in the Panoramic Sauna.
Group banya programmes
Group banya is a guided sauna experience, where a sauna master uses the right combination of heat, steam, air and aromas to create a powerful group experience, deep relaxation and a sense of connection. The programme is suitable for both experienced guests and those unfamiliar with the banya experience. It takes place in the Imaginarium Sauna.

Purchase of a wellness ticket and an additional wristband (surcharge of 5 EUR) is mandatory if you want to participate in the competition and/or in the group banya programme. Additional wristbands can be purchased at the reception desk.
The additional wristband allows participation in both the competition and the group programme.
Prior registration on the ground floor of the wellness is mandatory for participation. You may attend a maximum of two sessions.
